Same here. I've play mostly lap steel at home for the past few years, and that has IMPROVED my pedal steel playing. Now when I play PSG I use more slants, more chord voicings without pedals. Minimal use of knee levers and pedals. There's A LOT of stuff available on 10-string E9 without even touching the pedals and levers... and no detuning issues, an added bonus.Without playing the PSG I had gained an ability to find two and three note chords all over the neck.
