It's time to slide this to the top of the page. It's not just good music, good food and good fellowship, it's about the kids who will benefit from the wonderful work the Shriner's do. Come on out and support the Shriners and have a great time in the process.

JJ,
We don't usually have lap steels at this show, but that don't mean we couldn't. There's so many good pedal players, we have trouble getting them all on. Jerry's got some good stuff planned for this one. Everyone make plans to be there!

Hello to all,
The time is getting nearer. Sadly to say Larry Sasser will be unable to be at the show. Larry has had some hardships he has had to deal with. Lets all keep Larry and his family in our prayers. We will miss Larry but we are still going to have a great show with a few suprises.
The lap steel is something we have not thought about. No one has ever let it be known they would like to bring one. This show is already full but we will entertain this thought next time. We have had so many players ask if they could come and play and believe me when I say thank you for your support. We start working on the next show a few months after we finish this one. We try to contact as many as we can to see who is interested in being a part. There is no way we can let all who want to play set up. No one would like that more than I but we don't have the time. We are limited with time. You would not believe the process we go through in order to put a show together. We have so much good help assisting us. Many thanks go out to Bill Cunningham and Bill Ferguson for their time. There are so many good player around our area. There are e-mails I still haven't answered. With Gods help we will do another show next year hopefully we will have as many want to play as this year. I appreciate all who are supporting us with their talents and others for just being there. There is a child somewhere who is getting the benefit or your support. Bless you all.
I hope to see you all on February 8, 2009

Jeremy,

Absolutely, you know I always enjoy doing your set. And Chris, I talked to that Hicks fella yesterday and he's sending me a cd of something he's doing on the show for me to get the feel. So.... he's either got something new, or he didn't like the way I did it the last time. Anyway, we'll have us a big ole time.

See ya there,
Jim

Okay Hartley,

Here's the deal. Forget the rehersal CD. Do this:

Verse - Thump Thump Thump, Click Click Click

Chorus - Thump Thump Thump, Click Click Click

Ride - Thump Thump Thump, Click Click Click

This will work for all the songs, just vary the tempo. If you get bored and want to get everyone's attention, vary the tempo within the song.

Keep in mind, this is coming from the guy who had to call you to get drum advice for a simple 4/4 shuffle I was working on in the studio.

.

Mr. Fox, sir---Since I have not got off of my lazy butt and went to the post office to mail you the Fender logo, can I just bring it to Atlanter? You want the whole cabinet? It's a Musicmaster 1x12" cab, still got the speaker, but no guts. Be great to put something in. Look forward to seeing you. Bring me something...
