In addition to learning Jody's voicings for some cool chords on E9, and a nice tune, there are things in here that will take you to new places and add a lot to your knowledge and ability.
Great job Jody.

Jody, I finally got to sit down and work on your dvd. Man, it's great, to say the least! I learned a lot in a hurry. Your wide-angle lens really makes that Ritt look long. I will work up some notes for fret, strings, pedals to help myself remember the positions. I am hoping you will do a lot more of these dvd's around different songs. A great way to learn, and I picked-up several surprising things in a short while tonight, particularly string 6,8,10 with the F lever. Dang, that opened up a whole new ball park for me. Good work Brother. Looking for more.

I think its a great dvd also. And man did you get that shipped out fast. Only thing that could make it better would be a back track file to play along with when practicing the chords.

Rhythm Track

Post by Tommy Auldridge »

Yes, I also think it would be nice to have a CD of the rhythm track to play along with. Does that sound like something others might be interested in?

Hi guys - In hindsight, I should have put the track by itself at the end of the DVD, but I failed to do that. At this point, I don't have a way to get the track onto a CD from BIAB, nor am I in a position to have it done and duplicated. I will certainly do it in the future though if I do any more DVDs.

However, the good news is that I would be glad to share the settings and chord progression for any of you who might be using BIAB currently for practicing. If you would like a chart for BIAB, email me at emmonsd10@yahoo.com

Sorry for the oversight - this was my first DVD, so I'm still on the upside of the learning curve on how to do these things. :) Thanks again to all who have purchased a DVD! jc

Jody, please bring CD's and DVD's to Tyler next month when you perform for the East Texas Steel Guitar Association. It is always great to have you honor us with your talents. I would like to extend an invitation to everyone within driving distance to come and listen to Jody. See www.etsga.org for the program and driving instructions to Tyler,Tx. Thanks in advance.
