all I did was ask what I thought was a simple question, everyone else jumped on the bandwagon. I didnt mean to offend anyone

12, 10 or 14, doesn't matter. It's the player sitting behind the guitar folks! The D note on the U12. It's not there until you raise the B note with a KL and bring it in. Very simple. Each player zero's in on a particular tone/sound they like.

OK, I played my first session with my Carter in Uni tuning last night. Of course it was mostly simple stuff and I didn't go below the 8th string much, but still it was an achievement in my mind.

I haven't figured out yet what pulls to put where to get all the permutations of notes from the missing 9th string - I'm still not completely committed*, but I'm
giving it a go.

(*I should have been a long time ago, I think.)
