Hey Guys & Gals, looks like a winner for sure this year again. Joe, we're in the SE corner of Kansas. Straight south of Kansas City, Kansas down highway 69. If you know where Joplin, Mo. is, we're 15 miles west of it. Would love to have you to come. I'll be posting more as soon as I get all the confirmations. Thanks again guys! Ray, Larry Gerdeman's computer is down, so he requested that I post for him. Larry will arrive at the show Sunday around noon, and he would like to do a set anytime available. Sorry, I doubt if Donna and I will be there, but we will sure miss seeing everybody. |

Ray, I see that my long time friend Jerry Horner from the great Merl Lindsay "Oklahoma Night-Riders" Band, is on your program and I may attend just to see him play, as he is a steeler with a great background and a tremendous talent. With all of the other fine steelers you have acquired, your show will be a great place to visit.

Well, everything is rolling along smoothly! Now that the ISGC is behind us we can concentrate on our show! Looks like 46 players confirmed this year. I'll have the schedule made out by the first of next week and it will be subject to change as things happen! This years backup band includes:
Bob Dell-Bass from Siloam Springs, Arkansas
Larry Jackson-Drums from Springfield, Missouri
Floyd McCoy-Lead guitar from Baxter Springs, Kansas
Phil Armstrong-Saxaphone from Carl Junction, Missouri
Roy Rosetta-Keyboard from Nederland, Texas
Roy was inducted into the Kansas Western Swing Hall of Fame in 2005. We're very honored to have him this year! More things to come later! Ray _________________ Ray Qualls

Thanks Ray for mentioning my induction in the Kansas Western Swing Hall Of Fame. It was a distinct honor and pleasure to be inducted along with so many outstanding musicians.
One correction though, I believe you said it was in 1995 but my induction was in January of 2005.
Thanks again for the recognition and we're looking forward to seeing all of you and having a great time in Baxter Springs this October.

Roy, I apologize as I knew it was 2005. I was just so excited that you get to come up this year that I slipped back 10 years! Glad the storm didn't do much damage and really looking forward to October. Later, my friend! Ray _________________ Ray Qualls

Ray, if the 6:30am slot on Friday morning is still open, I want it. Can I just pay you when I get there or do you want the money now? Let's bump this again.
Lee
PS my girl friend found two raccoons. I'm going to use them to make a pot of beans for Fred. |

Lee, I'm bumping you back to 5:30am cause Mike McGee wanted the 6:30am slot. Also the slot you have now costs more cause its Prime Time! I think Randy Stewart will cook Fred some raccoon burgers to go with those beans. We gonna fix him up good! ![Evil Twisted](images/smiles/icon_twisted.gif) _________________ Ray Qualls

Aw Dana, possum burgers are so "greasy" to eat! We'll just have to think of something else as we don't want to traumatize Austin! haha He sure was young in that pic! Here's me at his age!!!!!!!!!!!
