Justin - congratulations on your new aquisition. I think you will be happy with it for many years to come. It is a good investment, both financially and as an instrument.
Please post some pics when you get time, and I am glad that Dr. Seymour helped you in your decision-making process.

Ken, he bought an Emmons that has to be the most beautiful steel guitar ever! An Emmons natural with a sunburst front, some gold and silver tastfully on the hardware. Biggest baddest rolling birseye maple that was ever created by nature.
Pictures are a must! How 'bout it Justin?

Justin and I have been conversing over the past week by emails what he should be looking for in a steel.
I recommended several brands and ideas.
He like me is both an Emmons & ShoBud guy.
He wrote me in the car on his laptop on his way back to Georgia. I think he made a fine choice and will be very happy with his purchace. The best part is he made a good investment with his money.
Now let's see those pix you promised me.

I am ShoBud through and through, but my next addition will have an Emmons logo on the front of it. I really think that Justin made the wisest move by trying before buying. I know it is not always possible to do so, but when parting with a not inconsiderable amount of cash it has to be the most sensible way to carry out a transaction like this. Some guitars look the part but don't sound it, and no picture can convey the tone of a guitar. There are variances even within the range of each manufacturer. Some simply sound better than others.

Justin must be liking it, we haven't heard a word from him, he must be buried in it!

Well, hopefully he'd didn't run into something while "typing on the laptop in his car"
Sounds like you made a great choice, Justin. And you have a new friend for life in Bobbe Seymour.
And I think many happy hours of 'shedding ahead! Congrats!
