I'm so glad to finally see some positive comments about Emmons guitars. They've had alot of bad press over the last few years, but to me they're the very best Steel Guitars that have ever been designed & built. That's why I own 4 of them myself.
Nick
BTW Gary,
I'm partial to the P/P's, but I also have a LeGrande III with counterforce (the green one in the picture) and it's one great horn!

I agree Nick I don't have 4 (yet) but I have a push/pull and a SKH and love em both.

Can I ask a dumb question?
What is an SKH?

SKH = Short Key Head that is the original Legrande the first all pull Emmons. Had a shorter spacing on the key head.

i'd like to think emmons is still one of the best...we owe a lot of history to them. i do have a problem with any brand that i'd have to wait over a year for...too many things can change in a year.

Gary,
I don't know what your schedule is, but if you want to try that new Emmons out, you can have my spot on the stage (trailer) at Cowboy Church on Thursday evening. 7:30 pm, Colfax, NC.
Just about a mile off of I40, about 20 miles from Burlington.
E-mail me if you want more directions.

Cool! If you see a black SD-10 with 4 pedals it's mine. Tell 'em to send that puppy my way!
I suspect that they're batching the guitars. They probably have 15 or so at the same stage of construction at any given time so they can save with bulk purchases and machining. I guess I got in on the beginning of this batch, and that's about par for the course for me.

OK everyone, here is Garys new
Black Beauty SD10 Emmons.
Let me say that hearing and playing
his new guitar for the first time,
the sound is very close to my Push/Pull
This is a great guitar.
I'm sure Gary will comment more when he
gets it home.
