Hey friends,
As always, looking forward to another good show in Atlanta. If you are anywhere within driving distance, you need to come on by. Lots of good music, good food, and good friends.
See ya there,

Hey Roger,
You know I'd love to, but I will be in Charleston Friday & Sat. In fact, I won't be getting back home til late Sat night, so maybe you can play the first set or two for me Sunday morning. It would be a great help, but if you can't just let me know. Like I've said before, sleep is for sissys.
See ya Sunday,
Jim

Hey Jim,
Barney Miller had to cancel, and I'll be the "opening act" Sunday morning! Let me know if we need to try to round up a fill-in for your fill-in.

Thanks Donna for the cake you give us last year at the convention in St.Louis. It was your birthday I thought.

Roger,
Don't worry about it, I'll be there ready to go. I'm gonna try to get my brother to come along with me and give me a break during the day, but if he doesn't make it, maybe you can play a set or two at some point.
We WILL get that golf game in one of these days.
See ya Sunday,
Jim

Thanks Marcel. Yes that is the Dancing Dodds. Puts you in mind of Bobby and Cissy on the old Lawrence Welk Show, huh?
The other members of that band were Jerry Braswell singing and bass, Billy Puckett guitar, and Brad Williams on the drums. That night they were all subs and I was the only regular at a little restaurant gig down the street from my house.
Everybody get ready for this weekend!!

My Thanks to everyone at the show for making me and my buddy Jan Jones, feel welcome. We both had a great time and hope that the membership enjoyed my part of the show. It was great to see Bill Ferguson again and to meet Bill Cunningham and all the other guys and gals.
Thanks again for inviting me to play.

Mike, the pleasure was all ours! What a great picker this guy is. If you haven't heard Mike other than behind a girl singer, you're really missing a treat. He's got it all...sweet ballads to blazing speed, and all of it dead-on. Thanks for coming down, Cookie.

We had a great show and I really appreciate all the steel players and staff band who participated and those who worked the support.
Mike Jones, it was a pleasure to meet you and hear you play. Folks as Roger said, it was the whole package; taste, tone, emotion and speed in all the right places. We hope to see you again soon.
Also, I want to publicly thank Russ Hicks delaying his departure from Atlanta and helping us out.
Everybody put Nov. 2nd on your calendars for the next GaSGA show. We'll confirm the date and announce the line up soon.
