I don't remember who it was BUT, I saw a case at the convention a couple years back that was designed to hold the steel inside with it setup. Wouldn't make it any lighter but you wouldn't be lifting it from the floor upside down. I'll bet they're still available somewhere!!!!

I'm w/ Kevin.......... I load my steel, set-up in the case upside down, in the back of my SUV. I bungee the legs so it doesn't slip around......No problems after 20 some years.

Tony Glassman you have the solution. Even though I have lots of room in my van I still just turn the PSG upside-down in the case. Saves lots of time and it is lighter to carry without the case, and because you use both arms to carry it, one of your arms won't over the years get longer than the other.
