Any "***** Wind" bands, I remember there was a local band once called "Southern Wind", but I heard they stunk! I'm leaning towards "Captain Conundrum & the Enigmas" for my current project.

Overused Band Names

Mike,If in the interest of versatility we did
allow a b***o player to join for instance, our five
piece band, then when we are asked what our band
consisted of,we would have to say: "We have four
musicians,and a b***o player".

In the mid seventies I worked in Oklahoma & Texas for a while and ran into a band called "Country Jam". The band leader told me that some places they'd play if the name was put up on a marquee there'd always be someone who came in wanting to sit in with the band....... I don't think I'd put a name like "Free Beer" on a marquee either.....JH in Va.
Don't matter who's in Austin (or anywhere else) Ralph Mooney is still the king!!!

New and Old get used way to much.

Old Time Whiskey Drinkers Band
New Horizon Country Band
New Olde Timey Music band
DLD, Chili farmer. Plus bananas and papaya too.

Real happiness has no strings attached.

Back in the early 80s I had an americana roots country band called Buddy Hollywood which was also Billy Swan's band when he did gigs. One time we were playing an extended engagement down at some linedance joint in Orange County somewhere and on a large rotating marquee sign on the roof of the club it said "Now Appearing - Buddy Hollywood". One night as we drove up we noticed someone had altered the signage to read "Now Appearing - Dancing,Sandwiches". From then on when we played there and a few other joints we would start our show thusly: "Good evening ladies and vegetables - we are the Dancing Sandwiches..." Around that same time we put out a single called "It's so hard to say I love you when you're sittin on my face" on you guessed it - Dancing Sandwich Records. That record became something of a cult classic BTW.

You played on that! LOL,

I actually have COVERED that in a duo
with drum machine gig.

In a medaly with Baby Take Your Teeth Out.

I know, I know, not one of my better gigs.
I was just doing bass, harmonies and drum box
to HIS set list. Seems like 1,000 years ago too.
