Thank you, Jim---Both for checking with Wayne, and for not hitting that crash right next to my head...
I'll feed the moron, just in case.

The moron has a clean t-shirt ready. I used it to polish some guitars, and wipe up some paint, and I'm trying to house-break a dog...
But the moron likes it. Says it fits good around the neck.
I don't even want to THINK about his undies :whoa:

Guys and Gals I am thinking this is not a show to miss. My wife and I were just cruising Rhapsody and came across some Live Connie Smith from the Church Street Station Shows with Terry on Steel. Can we all say Good Grief together ?

We had a chance to see Terry with the Skaggs band back in the 80's and I think it's about time to come down and say hi to Terry and the rest of the SC gang...

Tony, does that mean you're coming? Should I bring a Coke crate for you to sit on?

Well Stephen right now we are planning on coming, no other stuff happening on that Sunday.

I do have a few questions for you though;

Can you provide me with a High Chair so I can see the stage , even if I sit in the front row ?

How about an Elevator so I don't have to make the step UP into the building ?

How about a Waiter so I don't have to actually go get a Hot Dog ?

Do people from NC get a discount on Admission ?

Can you come get me and bring me home ? ( my home not yours)

Can you make sure they have Sprite Zero for me to drink ?

just a few simple requirements for me. I would appreciate a YES to all of them thank you very much in advance :)

Hey Tony...I'll be glad to get your hot dog for you! You and Steve are on your own with the rest of it. Current plan is to be there, and bringing an old buddy of mine, Sid Manley. Might even bring another buddy, but not confirmed yet. Imagine getting to see Steve two weekends in a row!!!

OK to all that stuff on your rider, Tony (Superstars >:-) ).
You want some straws for the Sprite Zero, so you can set the can in the floor?

So, I know y'all just HAD to watch the Super Bowl, but has anybody seen Wayne Smith?I took some 'burgers over to the moron's, and he's crawling around on top of the furniture going,"TURN BASS UP!!TURN BASSUP!!!" That, and knowing that Charles is gonna holler at me, and then Jerry's gonna holler at me, shoot, last time, even Dr. Strum hollered at me!
I'm gettin' old, gettin' hard to take...

Hey Steve,

I hate to say it, but I won't be there for the Saturday night jam. I forgot to block out the date and got booked for the night. Jerry needs to work a little anyway. I'll be there bright and early Sunday, ready to go.

See ya there,
Jim

I was looking forward to coming down to Saluda this time, but it turns out that I'll be on an airplane headed to France on that day. Say hello to everyone for me.

Steve...try to keep that Moron calm if possible.

OK, guys, the Atlanta show is over, and I wish I was there. Did you guys leave anything for Saluda this weekend? Same GREAT cause---the Shriners' Hospitals.
Proceeds from this show, just like Jerry's show in Atlanta, got to the Hospitals, and God bless guys like Jerry and Charles Reece for their hard work in putting on these shows, the guys in the band, and the players who give so graciously of their time and talent. And may He bless those who, in these hard times, come out to these shows in support.
Fellers, If you wore out your fingerpicks in Atlanta, I've got several pair, with very little use!
And Russ, if you ain't doin' nothing...

Saluda Show

Post by Herby Wallace »

I just wanted to add that I will be coming to Saluda again next weekend. I wasn't sure if I would be able to make this one, but I will be there. I have been doing this show now for around 19 years and I always enjoy coming back. Also, for anyone who is interested, I will be bringing down the new Mullen G2 steel guitar, which I must say is the finest guitar I have ever played for my taste. I have only had it for two weeks, but it is unbelieveable, so if anyone would like to check it out, this is the time.

I hope to see everyone there.

Thanks, Herby! You're as much a part of Saluda as the hot dogs :), and it wouldn't have been the same without you! And I wanna see that G2, as well!
