I wish I could attend the show. The line up looks really good and I especially like the hall it is held in. I've been the W.M. of my Lodge twice and am currently the Chaplain. I'm one of the very few working steel players that are Master Masons that actually still attend the meetings. Of course, that is secondary to hearing all those fine steel players.

Scotty,
I too am Past Master of my lodge and I stay active with it. I wish you were able to attend our show. This is the sixth year and each year it just get better. For the past two years we were forturnate to have our dear friend John Hughey. We have had some great players, my hero Russ Hicks, Randy Beavers, Smiley Roberts, Herby Wallace, Mike Bagwell and the list goes on and on. The plus side is that we have some great players locally who have helped support our show from the start. The good thing about it is we have a lot of fun and the children at the Shrines Hospitals benefit from it. This year we are priviledged to have some more great talent, I am looking forward to the music and seeing some old friends.

Northwest Ga Steel Guitar Show

Jerry,

You know we see lots of good traveling men at these shows. We're all proud of our Masonic Heritage and what it represents. All the efforts from this show goes to support the Shriners Hospitals for Children, a cause that close to our hearts. Join us on the 10th at Yarrab Shrine Center Auditorium to eat cornbread, soup and chili and hear some good pickin'.

See you there!

This is always a great show and I look forward to it each year. I wasn't sure I would be able to attend this year so I didn't sign up to play. As of now, I will be able to make it and I look forward to seeing old friends and hearing some great steel guitar music. See you guys and gals there on February 10.

Bump

The time is drawing near. I am looking forward to seeing a great show. I will be bringing another rod, reel and tackle bag. Yesterday evening, I dug out my American Bass Anglers banner. I had a John Hughey moment when I read what John said when he autographed my ABA banner. Last year I had a table next to John's. He and I not only talked about steel guitar, we also talked about fishing (John was a bass fisherman). I have a picture of John in my photo album autographing my banner. This is what John said, Just get the big one. I will always remember John's question to me when I saw him at Georgia Peach Jam in June 2007. He asked me how the fishing was going? Like many, many people I will miss John, but as I told someone the other day, I will always get to hear him play when I listen to a Conway or Vince song.

If the Good Lord is willing and my Ford cranks I will be at the show.

Hey Musicians and Friends,
Well, about eight more days and we will be able to once again enjoy each others company. Don't be suprise if we have a few suprise guest drop by to visit. Each year we are bless with a suprise visit from a great player and good friend from Nashville. I enjoy seeing friends of past years along with making new ones. This is just like having a family reunion with music all day. Nothing could be finer. Hey guys I'm looking forward to seeing you all.
