Hello from a new poster!
Just wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy Holiday season!
This is my second post I believe. My first was to ask a question about a buying a Carter starter. I ended up getting my first steel and I opted for the Stage One. My sweet little wifey just got me Jeff Newman's "Up from the Top" for Christmas. I think that might have been a hint! I've been reading the forum for a while now and although I haven't posted any questions I have really enjoyed the banter. Things get boring here in western Pennsylvania in the winter. No seriously I hope to ask questions as I start on this long journey (I better hurry up because I'm already 61 years young.) I'm just figuring out what questions to ask. A month or two ago it would have been who's Buddy Emmons? Or maybe which side of this thing do the pedals go on? Happy Holidays!

Just came in off the range with a wagon load of Sagebrush for turning all them other colored steel Guitars black like they're supposed to be! Anyone having a %%%%b-wordjo""" wanting to contribute to the fire feel free to send them General Delivery up here to Montater and I'll see that they are placed in the appropriate pile. How's that for an offer bOb?

Ok Don,ya got me! I have been reading the forum for months and have recently joined. This is my 1st post. For myself, I am just a beginner (a work in progress) on the steel guitar. I learn more from listening than talking. lol There are no words to describe the wealth of info from the experienced steel guitarist here in the forum. I'm like a sponge soaking up water so fast I don't have time to squeeze it out. A big ole howdy from a newbie in Denton,Texas.

Upon Changing my status from Zero Posts
I have read alot of the posts...
And there is a lot of chatter without much being said. I am not here to entertain other forum members but to seek information and resources. You all do a fine job of that but one needs to seperate the chaff from the wheat. When I have something interesting or that I am interested in - you will hear from me as I am not shy nor quiet. I do not want to waste your time (or mine) with unproductive banter. I need to go to rehearsal now as I have 3 dates in the next six days and twice that many new songs to add to the set lists. Thanks for thinking of us unposted individuals...but please encourage our interaction by relevant and interesting discourse. I look forward to reading those messages. For as a whole this group of people are much more interesting than drummers & guitarists....!!!1 Happy Holidays pickers!
