Hey Guys, In the long run I think you would be much better off switching to a square cross shaft. IMHO!

I agree with square shafts 100% but it looks like his guitar has round ones already.
Phillip, I can't really tell much from your picture. Do you have numbers/dimensions to go with it?
Also, which ones do you want? We seem to have several designs going already. As I mentioned to someone else, if I can draw it, I'm pretty sure I can cut it.

I would like to have 30 of these that will fit a 3/8 round shaft. I would also like the screw hole to be tapped at 8/32 thread. Thanks,
Phil.

Anyone want to see what I've tried so far? I've made mistakes, learned from them, made corrections, made more mistakes, learned more, more corrections.... you get the idea.
I'm leaning about lots of possible errors that I hadn't considered before starting this CNC project. Maybe I'll get it eventually. It seems that the thinner your work pieces is, the more clamping you need to make it stable. Several times now, my mill has gotten down to the last pass or two and the cutter has grabbed the piece and bent and mangled it all to HL.
I only have one little 3" milling vise. I guess I need to mill some clamps but I'm not sure where I'd even put them on such small pieces. I guess I could clamp one side, cut the others, then clamp the others and mill the last/missing part.

This one will work perfectly.
