My music room, Sad to say I sold those three Emmons guitars. Good news is I replaced them with a 68, 76 rosewood D-10's, 8 & 5, and a Black Rock D-10 8 & 3.

Is Emmons Still Building Steels?

Well, so far we've established that they are shipping parts. Has anyone here bought a new Emmons that was built within the past year or two?

A good friend from the area bought a new Emmons D10, I think he received it 18-24 months ago. It took about 18 months from order date to shipping.
It is very smooth and easy to play & sounds great.
Feels just like my new Derby. 8)

I received a new guitar from them 12 months ago this week.
It took 8 months from order (they were on time).

Ron and Bobbe were very good to deal with, and I have always been able to get other items off them (such as knee lever kits, etc) when required.

I am very happy with Emmons service; they make a great guitar!

Emmons

Post by Ron Brennan »

For what it's worth......

Not long ago, I contacted Rebecca Lashley to date my Emmons and acquire a part through e-mail.

IMHO: This family business is one of the rare Quality Real Customer Service companies I have ever had the pleasure to deal with.

Not only the Rebecca quickly report the date it was Mfg., but who ordered it, where & when it went to, and its specs.

Too me, this is impeccable record keeping at its best. I'm with a major airline and I know the discipline it takes to keep Data records.

BTW: The part came in days.

Emmons is truly a high quality company, that's why their Steel Guitars are the same. And, yes, Quality like this takes time!!

Seeing as PSG's are probably a luxury for many, it's reasonable to think business has slowed down a bit.

I wish them, and all who are involved with Emmons Steel Guitars, the very best. TX

Rgds,

Ron Brennan: A happy Emmons customer!!

yeah, I called and ordered a few parts twice in the last year, and they picked up, took my order, and it was at my house within a few days. They were very friendly and helpful also.

Man, I'd love a new LeGrande III **teh drool*

Hey Bob, I'm playing an SD10 on the road that Ron built for me 2 years ago - And he is in the process of building a new one for me now. Hope to pick it up just after the Holidays. Emmons guitar Company is alive and well.
