Thanks for explaining the background noise/chatter, maybe the balance was 'unrealistic' as the camera mike was nearer the crowd, I think I was just initially a bit shocked at what appeared to be disinterest shown by the audience, this was obviously not the case, it has certainly not put me off my plans to attend next year. My thanks again for submitting the clips.

Okay, my vids are uploading to YouTube as we speak!
First, the legendary Lobby Jams with Gerald Ross and Dick Martiny.
Every hotel lobby should be so cool:
Lobby Jam #1
Lobby Jam #2
Lobby Jam #3
Lobby Jam #4 - SUGAR MOON
Here's my set - with Gerald on Ukulele, Art Lang on Guitar and Virginia Grzadzinski on Bass.
SONG OF THE ISLANDS
LOVELY HULA HANDS
SLOW RUNNING RIVER
BULA HULA
REMINGTON RIDE
Here's the first song of Gerald's set - the rest will be there in a few minutes.
He did it all folks - Guitar, Ukulele and Steel!
There are plenty more - most of the Saturday peformances, and some great late night jam sessions.
I'll be uploading them over the course of the next couple of daze - so keep tuned to this channel:
http://youtube.com/rickalexander47
Here are a couple of pics, more to follow:
This pic is actually not blurry - that's really what I looked like . .
Here's Don Kona Woods - he played a wonderful set, I'm so glad I finally got to hear him perform.
Here's Rick Aiello - great performance, videos to follow . .
Here's me with Art & Mae Lang - I love her steel playing, and Art did such a wonderful job backing me up on guitar.
Gerald Ross in the Finger Style Guitar portion of his set.
Kay Das performing - Wayne Shishido on Bass, Chris Kennison on Guitar & Gerald Ross on Ukulele.
Any one of these guys could play any one of these instruments and it would sound great.
I love this pic.
Standing L - R: Paul Weaver, Gloria Murawski, Rick Alexander, Willi Kaaikiola, Isaac Akuna
Front Row - Kamaka Tom, Duke Ching,

My "spring it on the band" song. My new favorite tune! Some good shots of my flesh "yarmulke".

How cool is that ... thanks a-million
I'm sure glad I wore my new "duds" ... I sure wouldn't want Jeff Au Hoy pissed off at me too ...
Hey, wait a minute ... where's Blue Hawaiian Moonlight ... Gerald got his whole set up there ...
Sorry the files are so big ... Chris Kennison said I should play more and talk less ...
Hey wait a minute ... thats just the opposite of what he said to me last year
We were so bad this year ... our "misadventures" surely would get us kicked off here (the SGF) ...
The HSGA Forum administrator has been working overtime ... editing out all of Harry D.'s, Jeff S.'s and especially that Craig S.'s posts ... in the Joliet '07 board ...
"Potty mouths" ...

Yes, Harry D is the king of expletives. It's pure art when he speaks. He can make a single word a noun, verb and adjective all in the same sentence."Potty mouths" ...
We all try to duplicate his seamless stream, his pure woven tapestry, his "Ptah" of colorful and descriptive words but we fail miserably.
We are but a poor substitute for the real thing.

Okay - Blue Hawaiian Moonlight had gotten lost in the shuffle, so to speak - BUT I FOUND IT ! !
and here it is:
BLUE HAWAIIAN MOONLIGHT by Rick Aiello
a lovely rendition if ever I heard one . .
You did talk quite a bit, I found it very interesting.
The audience sure knew a lot more about you by the end of your set . .

Here are the videos:

Rick Alexander is absolutely correct ...
Dave Kolars (gentleman playing the tricone in the first video listed) ... also treated use with an outstanding performance on single cone National (I think) in his set ...
Both Dave G. and Dave K. had a "tad" bit of ... for lack of a better term ... a ragtime influence shining thru .
Doug Smith ... on the other hand ... played a Dobro with a very "Hawaiian Style" ... (as all who have heard him can attest).
Doug is a "Master" of the steel guitar ...

Thanks for filming (is that still a word?) and posting these. Friday night jam #1 is "Hula Blues (in F)". The others I don't know. I hooked up my laptop to the big screen tv to watch life size, it's just like being there (except on the opposite side of the room, and I didn't have any Hawaiian Colorado beer).

Thanks Gerald!
Jam #4
I re-uploaded it. Hopefully it will fly now.
That one is only 40 seconds long, but it's 40 very interesting seconds . .
I still have more of the jams and a few of the Saturday sets.
I'm doing a show on Hollywood Beach this evening, so I'll do a few now and the rest tomorrow.
