I had a 1957 Lyric that I bought at Mac's Steel Guitar Shop in Colorado Springs about 12 years ago. This was my very first steel guitar. All wood necks mounted to an all wood body with four legs. Got it for $200.00 bucks. What a nice guitar best tone I have ever had. Kept it for a couple of years. Then sold to Elderly Instruments. Boy was I stupid!! If I could find one now, I sure would buy it.

The 50s era Mag amps usually get all the mention, but these mid 60s 'suitcase' models are some of the very best ever. I have an MP-5 head and an M10-A w/the classic 'true vibrato' and both deliver a vast combination of sweet cleans with great tone that blows away most any Fender, for my taste anyway. The M10 features a stereo option that adds to the already great package.
They are prized by many now, and should have made a much bigger impact when new with the buying public. Jimmy Bryant appreciated them, endorsed and used them on his solo recordings in the later stages of his career. His tone with them is awesome.
The M20 set up was another that should have been in every garage bands arsenal. Very cool stuff. I had a shot at the complete set up in perfect cond. long ago at an incredibly fair price, but no place to put that much gear, which I still regret.
