It's not surprising that "thrice" has been disappearing in recent years: I've noticed that recently "once" and "twice" are also rapidly disappearing. More and more people are saying "one time" or "two times". A decade ago it would have been very unusual to hear someone say, "I went there two times," but now it's becoming normal.

There is just too much great info to digest at one sitting during the day. The Forum is the greatest thing that has happened to steel guitar since pedals. Jody

I log in 10 to 20 times a day. I must be a steel guitar forum junkie! How many willing to admit to that?

Quit smoking 30 years ago, and I don't drink, and I can't .... do a lot of things that I used to do. At my age, it's the only vice I can afford. It's a lot less expensive than a shrink. I get the shakes after about 6 hours if I don't log on, Guess You Could Say I'm Hooked. Alan

The FORUM has opened a door.....................

I used to sit alone in a darkened room, for hours at a time.....listening to my many, scratchy. olde steel guitar albums. I can't recall how many times I was jolted awake by the needle scratching in the center of the disc atop the lable........ Where did all those fine steel guitarist go, wha hoppen? It seems like only yesterday.

The FORUM opened a door for me. I learned more about steel guitar in the first two years I was a member than I'd learned during the preceeding twenty years. Discovering new names, players I'd heard and admired yet, had no way of knowing "WHO" they really were.....like the recent happening on the JIMMY DICKENS post......Gordon Flynn or whomever. Where did he come from?, and Where did he go? A mighty fine steel guitar player for whom I'd not been able to identify for decades.

And friends......like Kenny Dail, Ric Aielo, Doug Seymour, Bobbe Seymour, Jeff Strouse, Mike Black, Ken Fox, and all of the many, many others that the FORUM has made possible for me. Where else could someone get to meet such fine, wonderful, caring people that are so willing to give of their knowledge and skills? Helping to install photo's and musical links on the FORUM........

The first thing I do every morning, is check in on the Forum, then 10-12 times during the day, and again, the last thing at night.

THANKS b0b!

Amen. Thanks to the Forum I've made friends thousands of miles away that I otherwise might never have met. 8) And friends with the same interest are the best types of friends... ;-)

In this day and age you can be living next door to someone who could become your best friend, and never know of his existence. I wish the internet, and particularly the Steel Guitar Forum, had been available forty years ago. :\ :\

As I've said before, b0b is our hero... :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I think that after the poll has been running for a couple of weeks, we'll start to see the "once a month" figures pick up. 8)

Yes, that counts. You don't have to add comments every time.

Two or three times a day because I'm on vacation and have daily computer access. When I come back to earth it will be a couple times a week as usual.
