Howard, Here's a few pics of the "big block" that's already in my guitar, courtesy of John Coop. These are the "Coop Super Fingers". Check out those roller bearings. I'll asure you, this is one smoooothe playing Shobud!









I still have to do a final cleanup of this changer.

My Blonde D10 started out a dark walnut cabinet. Jimmie Martin gets the credit for a super refinish job. And John Coop did a complete undercarrage/changer job on it. I just want to clean her up just a little, after some play time and gigging.

James, I'd hate to see what happens when you wash your car...

James just think, if we weren't picking on you, we'd have to pick on some one else, and they might not be as good natured as you are!

That darn rain. I have a crossover in the garage in rough shape and it's calling my name. Boy I mean rough.

Hey Roger, Mine started out pretty narley, too. You will usually find a pretty sweet "diamond in the middle of that chunk of coal".

James I bet that will play alot smoother when you are done, I would get new bushing's and new nylon tuner keys. Take care buddy!

Today the cincinnati Reds fired there manager so I think I need to rethink my logo.

John Coop has my new parts at plating as we speak.
Will you e-mail me some good close up pics of the underside of your guitar?
That way I'll have something to help me out a little while going back together with mine.
I forgot to mention that I will be putting it together on a quiet, rainy afternoon, because it will never stop raining down here.

I thought for sure I had posted that I wish I could see and play it after you finish, I'll bet it will be perfect. I don't know what Happened to that post, I must have clicked the wrong thing. My wife gave me a good idea when undertaking a big project. Take a lot of digital pictures before you start , it helps with reassembly. It doesn't sound like you need the help, but I would.

All you need is a good imagination and a quart of Jim Beam and you can put it together.
I'll let you play mine if we ever cross paths.
That's if I don't drink to much Beam to put it together.

Oh, yeah, James...that changer is really trashed...not sure I'd trust it. Better order a new one from Coop. Just send that old thing to me...I know how to dispose of that kind of junk.

That's a good start to writing a few country hits, but if you put that guitar together under Jim Beams supervision, you may have to play it backwards!!

Mike, I should have left those birdsnest and dirt dabbers in it to take the pics!! I had to knock the possums out of 'er to take that changer out!! Ha!!

What happens if you have extra parts left over when you're done??????

Well, of course, you know, James, now that you'll have it all spit and polished, they'll have a clean home to move back into!!! Isn't that called "Habitat for Possumanity" or something?
