I agree Todd. Picking towards the end of the fingerboard gives a much mellower tone on all stringed instuments.

Hi Gerald. Ihave had at least 250 lap steels in my life and the one like yours has the sweetest sound for Haiwaian music the sustain last forever. Don't ever part with it Garland Nash
