This was one of the first records produced by Michael Nesmith for Countryside Records. The record featured JG on steel. Red Rhodes wasn't in the band yet. Billy Graham played bass, I believe Danny Lane played drums. I was in the band as keyboard player, but I don't hear me, so maybe I didn't do that session. Always loved JG's singing and steel playing.

I remember Wynn Stewart.

James passed away last year. I didn't know him, but I did end up with his guitar. (A friend of mine bought it from his wife after he passed, and then sold it to me recently.)

It's an MCI, but I know almost nothing else about it.

Jerry Hayes here mentioned the strange setup he had on the E9 neck, with the 10 string lowering to A with the A pedal. This guitar is set up that way too. It's all a bit strange to me, as I've only ever played a Maverick until I got this guitar. It has a ton of stuff going on underneath, there are 2 LKL levers, as well as a LKU, and LKR. Is that something that is common on more complex guitars? It's hard to activate the far LKL without moving the closer LKL lever a little.

I have no idea about the C6 copedent, as far as what is normal, and what is happening on this guitar. It seems all of the knees only effect the E9, except for an up lever that is in the middle of the guitar.

If anyone knows anything about this particular guitar/setup I would love to have some more info.
