Stu, it would be the meringue on a lemon pie if you were to be there. For those who have never seen or heard you play are missing a blessing to their ears and there musical soul.

Besides we can always use your help keeping Wayne S. under control.

Stu was with us afew years ago and blessed us with his talent. It seems as thought these days Nashville is keeping him pretty busy.
Maybe someday he'll slow down enough to come and be with us.

We're just two weeks away from the annual gospel steel show and are looking forward to a great time of gospel music featuring the steel. Hey Erv, your guitar is almost as purty as mine. If you take out the blue and put in red mica, you'd be lookin at mine. I got mine thru Jerry Roller. Sure is a fine steel. Wish I could make it up there, long ways tho. May get to see Fred in Siloam Springs this weekend. I think he will be there. A good show for sure..Ron

Bump --- for one great show.

My wife has the coffee pots cleaned up and the cookie making goodies lined to start baking. Cheese is in the frig ready to be cut up and all of the goodies are in some form of preparation.
Things are looking good for Doug Jernigan's seminar on Friday from 10:00a to 3:00p. You can walk in and pay at the door for it if you haven't pre-registered.
The line-ups are done and we are looking for a great show.
We will start the set up this Wednesday afternoon and if you want a blessing, we can use anyones help as it takes alot of work to get ready. We'll be busy working on the stage, lights, tables, sound, etc. pretty much right to the start of the show on Friday evening.
We pray for your safety as all of you travel. Please, those of you who aren't sure, try and make it this year and we'll do our best to see that you have a very enjoyable weekend.

Things are loaded up and in the truck or on the trailer and I'll be pulling out in about an hour for the hotel to begin the unloading and setting up of the stage, lights, and all that goes with it. Bill Ferguson will be pulling this evening with his gear also and will be setting up. If you want good fellowship and a blessing, come on over and we'll put you to work.

Sorry I can't make as I have gigs on Saturday but wanted to mention that anyone staying over until Sunday and didn't get enough Steel, the Indy Steel Show will be Sunday, May 6th. (See Posting).
Doug, hope I'm not out of line posting this here but what an opportunity for the steel fans to experience two, count 'em two fabulous steels shows in a big city on the same weekend yet on different days.
And I'd love to play your show sometime, I have a new Gospel Album out and a great Gospel Set worked up.

Due to some unforseen playing dates and some other circumstances that have come up I am sorry to say we will be unable to make this great show this year. I have already let Doug know this but I wanted to let my friends that I have met at the Gospel show know how much I regret Carlene and I can't make it this year. I asked Doug to hold us a spot next year and trust that he will understand and do so. Please all who can make this show be sure and do so because it is like none other. We will surely miss not being there.

Don, it would be great to have you come and share your talents with us. I haven't heard your gospel album but know that it must be great as everything you do is well done. Also if I remember correctly, you owe me a steel lesson on the universal, however you moved to St. Louis!!! Did you do that so that you wouldn't have to deal with this old duffer? Seriously I miss not having you around these parts. I always enjoyed your workshops.

I hope to see a lot of familiar faces, and a whole bunch of new ones tomorrow night... I am really looking forward to the drive up to Indy tomorrow, and the wonderful music, friends, and fellowship to come.

You did some great sets and it was nice to have a chance to visit with you.

Well we had a GREAT time at Indy this weekend. Got to see a lot of old friends. The show was a good one and I believe the crowd was up from last year. Wanted to say thanks to Doug and Stevie for having us and letting Jerry and Austin have a spot. Thanks for letting Austin have Rollers spot also ( thanks Roller ). Maybe I shouldn't brag, but the highlight of the show for me was when Dalton ( Austin's little brother ) got on the stage with Austin and played the piano and sang Amazing Grace. I think we may have created another monster!!!!!!!!! He already wants to know when the next show is!!!!!! I even missed a fishing tournament just so I could hear him. It was worth it!!!!!! Thanks Roy for the use of your piano. Thanks to all the band members that backed Jerry and Austin up. You were great. Good Lord willing we will see everyone in Indy next year!!!!!!!
