:? Gulp ! I'd better stop playing Harbour Lights on the E9 neck (tuned down to D#9) in F#, as I usually do. I never read the music, just remember it from the records....

Thanks for the advanced warning. If you ask me to play Harbour Lights I'll remember to play it in D# on the C6 neck.....

...and I'll keep my hat on to cut down the reflection.

We'll run through all of those "Shopwstopper" numbers ?
When you come over.
We may even record a duet just for the 'Forum' and posterity !!

BTW I think Jimmy Kennedy envisaged his tune to be more like Portstewart than Hawaii

Wait until you've heard the recording before you think of posting it on the Forum. You've got a reputation to maintain: I haven't !

Alan, we owe it to 'THEM" to give them a yardstick and level to aspire to.

BTW What do you think of my 'Hyper links' on Jimmy Kennedy and Portstewart ?
Informative if nothing else. Until John Lennon and Paul McCartney, he had more hits in the United States than any other British songwriter.

I didn't notice the hyperlinks until you mentioned them. Very interesting. I'd only barely heard of Jimmy Kennedy until I read that article.

....and I thought Red Sails in the Sunset was an Hawaiian song !?!
