My evolutionist colleague who teaches at the same college I do,told me that his basic evolution equation is:

Nobody + NOTHING = everything

He said it's the best way to describe his theory in a few words, and he said his students love the simplicity of it all.

You only have two eyes. What would the additional lenses cover ? :\

Mike -Science and evolution are not synonymous. I would never mock true science. As for evolution it mocks itself and the "observation" factor in the scientific method. As for preachery - I have never been guilty of that!!

The evolutionary theory or (Darwinian fairy tale) as I prefer to call it, has an equation. It goes like this in keeping with the spirit of this thread!!

NOBODY + NOTHING = EVERYTHING

Evolution is a biological subject explaining the change of species over time. It has nothing to do with the origin of the universe, which is a physics subject. :\

So then, Once upon a time, NOBODY started evolution with NOTHING, and waited a very long time. Then in the beginning God created the heaven and the earth, yes you have guessed it -out of NOTHING!!

OK, Brian. I will remove my post as, just like yours, it has nothing to do with anything, never mind nothing!
I'll save your link, though. Funniest thing I've heard in ages.

I was feeling Pollyanna-ish about the sheer number of posts about Nothing, in particular. Now, views (on or off the subject?) are (a)noth(er)ing matter entirely!

One must admit, overtaking the ZB thread to become the longest (at least in terms of the number of posts and pages) currently active thread here must count for more than just Nothing! Mustn't it? :?:

Actually, I was bored with NOTHING to do when I saw this figure somewhere else on the Forum. As of this morning it has fallen to 5,454.... 8) :D

...and we all know that 5454 is 9 x 606 or 27 x 202 or 2 x 3 x 3 x 3 x 101.

How's that for numeric significance ? :\ :?: :!: :?:

Are we considering the Arabic numeric, ten based system here? :D
If not, you have just drawn some abstract figures and said NOTHING.
