Gene, you have already given me the info on my four Sho-Buds, but I just want to say again how great it is that you have come forward and been willing to take the time to dispel the fog of uncertainty that we Sho-Bud owners had come to accept we'd have to be resigned to. Ihave tried for two days to post a request to Gene for information on my sho-bud and havent seen it posted as yet. Information again, Sho-Bud,pro 111 aluminun necks, serial # 13015,green in color,bought sometime in the 70s from Stacys Music here in Hazard, ky. If this is posted,Gene, I sure would appreciate its history.

Serial numbers on Sho Buds

Hi Gene, Do you have the info on the guitars that were built downtown nashville? I had two from there in aproximatley 75 and 76. One black lacquer pro 111 and the other pro 11 blue lacquer. I am not as good as I used to be so without you giving me the serial # I can't get the information.
The serial # should be located on the underside, keyhead end of the guitar. It should be stamped on the cross piece of the endplate and the body also.
If you can send this info. I will try to date them.

I don't think my last post went through so I will try again,
Guitar model 6150 serial # 11180 built 9/14/76 by Shot Jackson. Shipped 8/11/77 to M&M Music, Valdosta GA.
Guitar model 6166 black serial # 17753 was built in Conway AR. by Freda Roberts and Evelyn Pratt. It would have been checked by Yasu Kamiya. Sho-Bud was owned by D.H.Baldwin Co. at that time.

Gene I have a SuperPro #16460.
I talked to Harry Jackson in Dallas and he thinks it may be around the early 80's.
Do you know for sure?
