Early 70's SD-10 Push Pull. Without a question, the smoothest playing guitar I have ever played.
'81 Push Pull, '92 LeGrande
One I let get away,'70 Lacquer Push Pull, wood necks

Blimey !!
If a push-pull is the smoothest steel you've ever played, you must have had some right dogs !

The push pull to the right is my favorite push pull. It is a '67 with 8+5.
The one is foreground is my present favorite. It is a black cherry birdseye lacquer LeGrande III (both necks)with 8+9. It has original 705's at the present time. This is one of John's last Emmons guitars. Next is a Mauve LLGII. I love the color, don't like the color name. I prefer to call it Plum. My friend Dave Musgrave sold this one to me about 15 years ago. It has 8+8 with 710's, plays and sounds very good. I might as well show the blue lacquer 8+9 that Jack Strayhorn built for me in '96. This photo was taken when I was playing the Branson Jam about 3 years ago. This one also has 710's and is a great guitar.

And Mike Bagwell,
This is without a doubt the best sounding Emmons (other that Buddy's) I have ever heard, no matter what kind of amp you use.
And besides that, your picking ain't half bad either. Love ya pal, Bill
