Although I have never owned a Sho-Bud I have set up and played one that is now under a bed in storage again just where it was for many years previous. A real nice green Professional. I too appreciate this topic. Thanks Gene!

Hello Gene,

It's absolutely fascinating to find out the date of "birth" so to say of our Sho-Buds. I thought I'd find out earlier on a non official website but they don't have the kind of acurate information that you have in your hands. So please let me join my voice to the others asking you when and by who mine was made and who it was sent to originaly. My serial is 11346 and it's a Pro II Custom.

Receive my best,

Alain-Yves PIGEON

Others asked you previously, but you should really consider making a book with this information. As you can see, most of the Sho-Buds ever made seem to still be used by enthusiast people and now that the brand has disapeared, it's a treasure that you have in your hands, a treasure that would gladly shared by the vast majority of owners.

J R,
Guitar model 6155 serial # 14895 I have listed as Charcoal. Built and shipped 7/25/79 to Gretsch inventory. I don't have a builder on it. This would have been when the factory was moving to Conway from Nashville.
Guitar model 6150 serial # 17844 was either one of the last guitars built in Conway or one of the first built in DeQueen Ar. The factory moved there 11/2/82 the guitar would have been built by myself or Yasu. I have no more information. Sorry
