Rick,

I'm so glad that this thread has been resurrected again! :-D It enables me to sing your praises once more!

I do hope that you are finally working on your jazz album. You have such a steel (and guitar) playing talent and it needs to be heard in the public domain.

I sincerely wish that 2008 brings you the recognition that you so rightly deserve. Please keep in touch (and email me with your new address - I know you've moved house since I last saw you). Thanks!

Gerry

Off the hook!!
Found my original post after I heard this. Still true. Bad cat!!!!

Boy was I surprized to see this old thread brought up again! I didn't know that it was still archived way in the deepest depths of forumland. Thanks for all the nice words again! You guys are all too kind. Especially since this isn't really about country music. ;-)

p.s. I hear Earnest has a great version on Lush Life.

Hi Rick,

I can only imagine how complex it is to play something like this on a Pedal style. The chord search and your crafty playing are very impressive.
I have never heard this before on a Steel guitar. At times, it even sounds like an overtoned guitar.
It just confirms your stunning performance at Mike's fantastic "L.A. Pedal Steel Jam".
It already seems like a dream to me. I can't believe I was for 2 days in the midst of all those great players and their superb sound that keeps ringing in my ears.

Mike, it must be a way to do this sooner with the
other's help. I for one will be there all
along. I' ll help with the chairs.
(Besides, Mike, with all the junk food I eat,
I am not even sure I be around next year)

Rick, it must be so inspiring to play next to you
in a band.
Congratulations. Very impressive.

Blessings,
Abel

Hi Rick, I guess you must have done that song before I got to Loretta's, and sat in with your band.

Just a little Chase

Rick,
my brother, long time. The only thing I'd add would be a little bit of Bill Chase screaming on the end. I realize only you probably would appreciate this, knowing the guys who played with Chase. That was awesome. I'd love to hear you do River by Chase on your Shobud!

Great Job,

Dan Burnham
