I currently ride a 2000 1500 drifter(kawasaki) that looks like a 1948 Indian. I guess I'm just a nostalgia nut. (197? pro 111 custom and 1970 laquer push pull)

Put the Shannon clan down for a "rice burner", and a 1948 Harley 'EL'. Yup, an old 61 cubic incher. Stays locked up most of the time but it still runs and leaks oil, just as all old timers do.
The 'rice burner' is a 1985 Honda Goldwing Aspencade SE Limited Edition. Super road bike for the missus and me, bought new and will probably go to the grave with me.

2001 V-Star... stripped down + custom paint.
Looks great, rides great, but I never get to ride it long distances due to a lower back injury. I keep changing stuff on it just like my steel. I'm thinking about adding a knee lever but cant decide which turn signal should be L or R....

....Fred Shannon's post..."Stays locked up most of the time but it still runs and leaks oil, just as all old timers do."....
Now Fred....my wife does keep me locked up for my own good, but I still "run" and I don't leak oil!
....and anytme you want to get rid of that old Harley and make some room for another "rice burner", just let me know and I'll come down and get it!

Cowboy, I've been leaking something for a long time but I don't think it's 'oil'.
Not for sale, not for sale, not even to give away. It shakes the thunder out of one when ridden, but it moves out pretty well.
BTW, they're only letting me out on weekends now. Stopped the 4 and 5 nights a week in the 'tonks' and playing a sit down job on friday and saturday.

Great pictures Jim, I'm jealous! I have today off and I'm going for a ride, but all's I'm gonna see is traffic.
This Sunday (Oct. 10th) is the Larz Anderson classic over in Brookline, for you Boston area guys. It's a great European bike show.
BTW, nice T-shirt Bobbe.

Mid november and I am still gettting decent enough weather to ride in here in Twangtown. It is nice living here in the south when you are a biker.
I am thinking seriously of getting a trailer and maybe doing Daytona this go around. Anyone else planning on going? Bobbe?, Damir?

Hi Bobbe
We just had a Helluava ride last weekend called "The Love Ride" which started in Glendale, CA and went to Lake Castaic, CA
About 20,000 riders in all and a great charity and featuring Lynrd Skynrd..All I can say is when they started the run and you heard all those motors start it was literally "Rolling Thunder"

Uhhh, I once had a Honda CB-450 "chopper". (Hard-tail frame, "laced" hog rear wheel and tire, 18" extended front fork, maltese-cross mirrors, and a sculptured chromed re-bar sissy bar.)
Damn-near killed myself ridin' it.
Does that count?

Jon...is that Beemer "plugged" into the amp, or is the amp "plugged" into the Beemer?

Yeah, John, nice WLA! My roommate has one, beat and bobbered, but it rarely runs.
And that /5 is nice. How clever, discharging caps used as a trickle charger!

The Beemer and the amp are inseparable. They both just sit in the garage. They get a charge out of each other.
