Bob, we have been getting lots of requests for them.
They are great for the player that hates to change strings often.
I am having more made. Probably be 3 weeks before we get them packaged and ready to go out the door.

I just reordered my 10th Dozen of Live Steel Strings!
I am spoiled! I don't want anything else on any of my guitars.
Great sustain, great tone, and no buzz. If you haven't tried a set, I would sure encourage you to.

Live Steel Strings will be closed June 1st through June 8th.
We are gonna take a little vacation.
This Friday May 31st will be our last day of processing orders until we return.
Thanks to all.
I have been working on an Album/CD project over the last couple of months.
There will be 12 tunes on the CD.
On all tunes I am playing 6 String Electric Guitar as well as Steel Guitar. Not all tunes will have Guitar on them and not all songs will have Steel Guitar on them.
My mindset when embarking on this project was to cross the boundary lines of several different musical genres which is what I enjoying doing a great deal.
Below is a link where you can access 4 tunes in their entirety at no charge.
I want to sincerely give thanks to everyone for the success of “Live Steel Strings”.

Nice clips, Sid! The guitar in "Together Again" is the purtiest thing I've heard since this club owner a couple weeks ago told us at the end of the night that he was gonna give us more than he'd agreed to because he liked us so much, and I think I heard a little Joe Pass in "I Can't Help It".
As for the attached car, I happened to have it open in Photoshop for a job I'm working on and it seemed fitting.

Iv'e tried just about every brand of strings out there and can't get over LSS!!! Amazing, tone, sustain, and they last so much longer than any other strings I have tried over the years! Love them and I will be sure to kep buying them!

I put a set on my Emmons LG ll, 4/11/13 and they're there to stay until I break one, or they stop sounding good. They still sound great and the guitar gets played most every day. I also have them on my Sho-Bud LDG.
These are GREAT strings!

Well, it finally happened. I broke a wire. 
I knew it was bound to happen sooner or later, but now I know that I should change them after 14 weeks.... 
But, these new Live Steel strings sure sound good.

It takes quite awhile to get these things made having to deal with a Cryogentics Lab and all but, We now have them.

I just put my 1st set of Live Steel Strings on the other day.
The first thing I noticed is the richness I got out of my 3rd string. I was used to a thin sounding 3rd but these strings really filled out the sound. I use a 12 on the 3rd in the past to try and improve the sound and that helped but these strings really made a difference. |

I just ordered a bunch more cryogenic E9 sets....I have to admit, I am never sure about strings, I always replace old strings with the "next new thing", so of course they sound better, the old strings were old!
But I just put cryos on a guitar again - replacing regular Live Steel strings on this guitar that weren't really that old - and it really does feel like they have more body and snap to them...

Recently tried a set of nickle "Live Steel" Strings and have to say the name is very fitting and describes how my guitar seemed to come alive with tone, opened the lows, mids and highs and seemed to add a beautiful chime. I have not tried the stainless strings but so pleased with the sound it may be a while before I do so.
Anyone who has not yet given these a try is missing out! Thanks guys for a great set of strings!

My good friend Gary Carter sent me an email a few weeks ago raving about a new brand of finger picks that he had recently purchased.
Oddly enough the company “Hoffmeyer Picks†is located in Virginia only about 30 miles from our business Live Steel Strings.
Now I have great respect for Gary Carter, but I thought to myself "what can be so exciting about a new set of finger picks?"
Two days ago I ordered a set and they came in the mail this morning.
I pulled them out of the box here at the office and examined them carefully and failed to see the Wow Factor.
I noticed right away that they were pre bent and had a nice rounded shape that was pretty consistent.
When I got to the music house this afternoon I started piddling with them and shaping them to my desired shape and fit.
Surprisingly it only took me a couple of minutes to get them to where the fit felt like my regular pair.
Usually take me two weeks to break a set in and get them right.
The more I played the better they felt. After about 30 minutes I put on my regular pair and was shocked at how inferior they felt. The tone was not as good. The tone was thinner sounding with less mid range.
My old picks felt weaker and thinner somehow. (National Picks that have been polished tumbled)
The Hoffmeyer Picks feel stronger and slightly thicker although they are easy to bend and shape.
I did not measure them with a mic.
I have learned that a thumb pick (in my case a Straight Pick) has a great deal to do with tone.
The thinner the pick, the thinner the tone. Too thick of pick will result in too much mid range (Mud).
The Hoffmeyer picks are very comfortable, easy to shape and the tone is fabulous.

They are pricey $25 per pair. But like they say in racing;

Has anyone tried the cryogenic strings on a Stage One?
Doug recommends a 22W for string 6 not a 22P.
