Andy, I am a beginner steel player and a beginner BIAB user both are quite a challenge. I got my steel the end of November and purchased BIAB 2014 shortly after. I would definitely be interested in your files

Thanks

Howdy boys and girls! thought I'd bump this thread as I don't seem to get on here as much as I used to but the offer is still good to anyone who would like the files to practice with. I'm glad to see so many have enjoyed my files.

Please email me with your request to get your files faster as I don't check the replies on here as often as I'd like to.

Thnx/kudos to Andy for a very quick response in sending me the zip file.
I don't know how to use the file or connect it to BIAB. I've used BIAB at an entry level, that is change keys & speeds, mute playback instruments, & the like.
Could someone give me instructions? Do I need to install some special program? Can I access the file from BIAB? I saw Andy's file in the download section of my computer. I made the mistake of opening it. That tied up my computer for over an hour before I shut it down. I'm using a refurbished Dell laptop with Windows 7 OS.
I looked at "File" in BIAB. Some selections looked suspiciously promising, but I have concerns of trying them lest I do something causing ruination. This is the third generation of computers I've transferred BIAB to. I did lose access to musical notation that some songs have in the transferring process. I liked that but can live without it. I bought me original program from Jim Baron.
Appreciation to anyone that can help.

Don,

Put Andy's files in a place (directory) where you'll know where they are. Then when you open a file within BIAB, you'll need to remember where it's located and direct BIAB to look there. Also, if you double click on the file names when BIAB is not open and running, the computer will probably open BIAB for you. Watch my free videos on YouTube. Just search in YouTube for "Band In A Box Made Easy" They take your through all this stuff step by step. Good luck and have fun!

Thnx Rick. I tried doing what I thought you meant. I probably didn't understand, as I'm not very familiar with computer lingo/jargon, so it didn't work for me.
I'll try navigating the tutoring site to see if I can find & understand what to do. Somewhere, I think I have an instructional disk that came with the package when I bought BIAB about 10 years ago or so. So far I've used the principle of "When all else fails ...." I just haven't got far enough into using BIAB to need it. Now it appears I need to.
