This DVD course is designed for either C6th ten string players and or 12 string Universal players. It can easily be used by either.
I use 7 floor and 5 knees pedals. The course teaches a lot of material including intros, endings, big chord voicings like Curly Chalker used, pedal use and several complete Western Swing and Country songs.
The course can be used by anyone but probably more suited for the intermediate to advanced player.
I have a couple of lap steel DVD courses for C6th players. These are for non pedal players. I might recommend those for beginners.
Thanks!

The C6th and B6th tunings are very closely related. They are as you might suspect only one fret apart.
The pedals operate the same as the standard C6th tuned pedals for the 12 string steel guitar.
If you really want to learn to play C6th or B6th it's just like when you learned E9th. You have to start thinking about it and get in that frame of mind for it. You can do it, you can learn the 6th tunings.
There is just this thought out there that there is something magic about learning the C6th or Universal tunings, there is not. Again you must apply yourself and study and practice. I have tried to simplify the process of learning these tunings.
I have actually thought about traveling around and starting teaching clinics for the steel guitar. I am not the best teacher in the world but I am a veteran teacher. Let's face it, none of us are going to be Curly Chalker or Buddy Emmons. Nor should we want to be them, they already did their great steel work. However, we can all learn if we are willing.
Thanks!
