As for me - well, I might have watched it, but I had a crossword-puzzle to finish...

Hey Roger, I finished my crossword puzzle before I watched the show. It's all about timing.

Get your priorities straight!!

I thought the girls, with the exception of Carly, were nothing to get excited about...just like the guys the night before. They need to step it up...quickly! Who's goin' home for the girls? My pick is Rock chick(she probably won't go) or the girl who sang Mr. Jones

Maybe so. But a waist is a terrible thing to mind.
I should know!

I didn't mean to interrupt - y'all get back to your regularly scheduled program. ;)

Is it just me... or is this the lamest group of competitors to date?

No, it isn't just you Michael. They were making noises about the level of talent being especially high this season but so far no one has captivated me. Alaina Whitaker, my favorite, and who looks to have great potential as a country singer was voted off last night. Amanda Overmyer caught my eye at first but she's fizzling badly and is obviously very uncomfortable in her new surroundings. Barring some miracle she's outta there shortly.
Too many 'girly boys' in the guy's group...some good voices...way too much pouting, hugging and shoulder whimpering. If things don't shape up soon I'm heading on over to Doug's place and see what's on there. If he hasn't got a t.v. we'll just jam. :)

I'm waiting for the Frank TV version of American Idol.

I like the show but can take it or leave it. It's not a priority. I did see the gal get all upset for getting the boot last night, she was pretty good I thought.

I agree with you completley Bill. I have no idea where this girlish manhood thing came from. I would guess that it is a woman's idea of talent.

Maybe I am still comparing the American Idol competitors to Britain's Got Talent's, Paul Potts. Now that man has genuine talent.

and they all watch Idol.

Bill Miller wrote about too many girly guys in this group. They must have been hoping to be the next big country boy band like Risky Bedheads, er Rascal Flatts.

Bill, I feel the same way. I hated that Alaina didn't get the votes she needed to stay in the game. The little Filipino girl has a nice voice - but is just so emotional. Did you see her with her head on another girl's chest sobbing away? No doubt, this is emotional for the contestants, but geeze, putting your head on another girl's chest!!! Also, I wish she would do something with that piece of hair that falls over her eye. (Sorry - must be the mom in me.)

I'm starting to like Kristy. I just want her to let go and BELT IT OUT!!

My top favorites are the two Davids - Archelata and Hernandez!!

Amanda is out if she doesn't pull off something incredible Tuesday night.

I like Brooke alot. The little girl you mentioned, Donna. I think Carly is the best singer! :)

David A? Is pretty amazing!
Next week it's a different stage setting. They need to pick the best song for them. Get tough! :)

I'll be watching.

It's not too late to quit, you know! Just take the remote and switch channels; it'll be difficult for you at first, but then you'll thank me!

Remote? Is that the black thing attached to Tommy's hand? I thought it was a funky new watch!!

I'm already thanking you, Roger - you are a great contributor to the Forum, have a great personality, and look rather dapper in your avatar picture! BUT THERE'S NO WAY THAT I'M GONNA SWITCH CHANNELS! That would translate to your cross-word puzzle as a 10 letter word beginning with H - ending in D.

Hi guys. Just watched the replay, I know, I am way behind the times. Tough choices at this point and they are going to get tougher. I think I agree with the guys elimination. The girls, hmmmmm, I really don't care for the rocker but then that is just my personal taste, or non-taste in her music. I am really looking forward to the gal from Oregon singing some country. Carly is awesome but that darned tattoo realy is destracting for me. Just my 2 cents.

Oh, no!!!! Don't say that Tommy watches, too? I've always had the highest regard for your husband - he plays so nicely - but if it turns out that he watches the same drivel that you do, I'm going to have to rethink things a bit..... :whoa:

Thanks for your nice comments, and thanks for all your work looking after your Forum 'territory', too; I would have thought that you would have been kept too busy to waste your time in front of the TV, anyway.

When I'm President (CAN a Legal Alien become President?) I'm going to block all TV channels apart from the Golf Channel, all PGA Tour Events, and Turner Classic Movies - all the rest will be outlawed!
