Emmons P/P's into the loudest amp I can get ahold of. No effects other than reverb. EVER!. Come catch a show and be sure and say hi!

Sorry if I missed it.
Wow! Seven pages. I just don't have the time to read them all, so my pick, (Sorry if someone already mentioned it) Is also a Paycheck song. It came out about 1966 or 67, and it was called "The Cave" It was about a dream about beine a teenager going into a cave, and then hearing a huge explosion. When he came out the world had been destroyed. I played that one over and over and over .....I used to know the lyrics, but that has been a long time ago. It started out like,
"I had the strangest dream last night that I have ever dreamed.
I was just a boy again, just barely in my teens...."
I think Paycheck may have written this one and he also searched for this kind of material.

They call it FILL 'cause it goes in the holes. Don't cover up the singer.

I didn't read all the posts but I heard Willie sing "I just can't let you say good bye" on Willies place yesterday. I forgot how eerie it was. You could never get a song like that recorded today. My old boss, Les Severs, recorded a song titled "The Purest Pearl" about a guy whose wife died and he didn't tell anybody. He kept her at home and would move he from chair to bed and kiss her "cold, cold lips" good night.
That didn't get much air play either.

I don't think anyone has yet mentioned "Carroll County Accident"...OK,covering up Dad's adultery after he's dead isn't the creepiest thing ever done, but there's just something about Porter that convinces me he's STILL the head of the Miskatonic University Alumni Association.

The best thing about this song is that I can say that I'm in a Hollywood movie scene with Bill Murray & Matthew McConaughey. Ok, this thread is too long, so I'm not going through the whole thing, but try this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=svsSBGzx8AI Marvin Rainwater's "Albino (Pink Eyed) Stallion." I've been told by one who knows that the eerie falsetto parts between verses are sung by him. I sing a mean falsetto and I can't even hit those notes. Ooh, scary kids!!
Mullen RP D10, Peavey NV112, Hilton volume. Hound Dog reso. Piles of other stuff.

Speaking of stallions, falsetto, and the creeps, take a whiff on this:

It's "The Castration Of The Strawberry Roan" by The Sons Of The Pioneers. Sorta x-rated, so listen at your own risk and squeamishness.
The vocalist is well-known Hollywood actor Dick Foran--recorded in 1942. It's a Doctor Pepper transcription recording that was not commercially released.

OK, maybe it ain't country, but...
Every Breath You Take by The Police is about the creepiest song I can think of. I'm amazed it is so often requested at weddings.
Others on my list include:
Ode To Billy Joe
The Wreck On The Highway
Phantom 409
Hello Everybody (I'm A Dead Man) Asleep at the Wheel
