James and all, again thanks to each of you for this thread. I want to share this.. I'm set up emmons and raise the 7th string a half step on my LKR which also raises my 1st and 2nd a half step. I went to the 8th fret played an Am, in my head sang Summer Time. Then went to the 3rd fret and started playing the song using the A & B pedals(Squeeze Um), progressing through the song, I moved on up to the 5th fret and raised the 7th/1st/2nd and held down the B pedal, this gives me almost all of the notes in the scale across the neck and what is not, are only a fret away. Still in an Am, you can easly get the micro tones(half steps) everyone has been talking about. Then move on up to the 8th fret, A pedal in, still in Am and the top strings open up. At these three positions there are some real nice two string bluesy sounds. I used Summer Time because it is easy and not to complicated to start learning to hear the changes. At least it seems to be working for me. Now, I'm sure you guys that have posted knew this, but there are other like me reading, that might get some milage out of this exercise. Actually I didn't really think of it in those terms Dick because I dont have the 7th string raise. I would think ones set-up will have an effect on how he thinks about scales, however, I do slide back and forth on that particular scale you found....James
