I read sixty pages of this thread so I might add something substantial but I can't...was it really all for nothing ??

Moving off topic, this coming Sunday will be another `Helicopter Sunday`. I know this has NOTHING to do with this thread but, in the spirit of keeping some interest going, can you guess what I'm gibbering about?

Maybe if I read them backwards; like from the last page towards the first page, I might be able to get a handle on it. What could come out of that except nil !!

Nothing is senseless.
How could it be?
This thread is seamless and you can start any where.

Square Root of Nothing?
Getting to the bottom of nothing.
Is Nothing a prime number?
Is nothing more or less Zero?
When Zero has more functions than nothing...

Nothing has really turned into something.

The square root of nothing is zero. 0 x 0 = 0
You can't get to the bottom of something that doesn't exist.
Nothing is not a prime number since nothing is not a number but the absence of a number.
Nothing IS zero. Anything more or less than zero is something.
No-thing is the absence of thing. Zero is the mathematical representation of nothing. The functions of zero are, therefore, the functions of nothing.

The square root of nothing is zero. 0 x 0 = 0
Are you quite sure of that Alan?
Actually, zero
is something. This I know; because for the last few weeks this thread has been going on, I have made an electronic deposit of
$0.00, each Friday, in everyone's bank account to show my appreciation of your tolerance for continuing this important pursuit.
More importantly, this coming Friday
I'm doubling this amount.
... and there's no need to thank me for that. It was
nothing.

Thanks Rick. I'll go out on a spending spree at lunchtime. All I need to find are items with zero sales prices... By the way, if your bank charges you a $5 transfer fee on each of those zero transfers you'll find that your account will soon become
NOTHING.
Am I sure that 0 x 0 = 1 ?
Well, it's a matter of the definition of arithmetical operators. For instance, 5 x 6 means five lots of six. So 0 x 0 means no lots of nothing. I guess logic would say that if we have no lots of nothing then we must have some lots of something. On the other hand, the 5 x 6 doesn't stand on its own. The following line might read 7 x 3. So 0 x 0 must mean no lots of nothing
in this part of the equation. The something could come somewhere else in the equation.

A minor in "banking" might also come in handy at this point.
Thanks Rick. I'll go out on a spending spree at lunchtime. All I need to find are items with zero sales prices...
...necessary only if your account
balance is zero.
By the way, if your bank charges you a $5 transfer fee on each of those zero transfers you'll find that your account will soon become NOTHING.
Making sure my maintained balance will cover all banking services
free leaves me
nothing to worry about.
Seemingly, some perforations in the stream of "Truth Functional Logic".

Well, I'm a CPA, so that's the next best thing. You know what they say about CPAs... it means "Can't Prove Anything", so I guess that means we can prove NOTHING. Hey, there's that magic word again.

This morning I got up with
nothing on, strolled out to our kitchen, and proceeded to pour myself a cup of coffee.
My wife glanced over and said, "well now, ain't you
something!" Later I asked her is she saw
anything that offended her, and she replied, "It was
nothing to write home about."
