Hey Bobbe Sawmour!

My family and I have been praying for your speedy recovery. I am so glad your on the mend and in good spirits.
I'll be playing poorly with the bar wired to my cast or bandages in two months, I'm not cancelling my show in Louisville, come up and laugh at me, I'll by chuckling my self!
VELCRO!! Try Velcro instead of wire.

Your poor playing is better than any of our good playing on our BEST day!
We won't be laughing at you - We'll be laughing with you.

Your great friend,
Benton

Bobbe,

You have such a fantastic "survive-and-thrive" attitude, no wonder you've been successful in so many things. I love what you told the nurses, the look on their faces must have been priceless!
I can just see your next CD, titled "Bar None", all done on open strings with right hand, pedals and levers. "Wild Mountain Thyme" sounds pretty good in open "E", and you could probably knock us out with all the possibilities you'd come up with. It's a silly idea perhaps, but it might be fun to think about while you recover.

Bobbe, I am so glad that you are on the mend. Zoranda and I will continue to keep you in prayer until you are completely recovered. It is truely our best anniversary gift to hear you are doing better. Again, allow me to offer any help I may be to you. Trust me, it will be absolutely no imposition what so ever to babysit 1,2,3 or all of your guitars. I will make room for them and treat them just like they were my own!!!! And there will be no rush to get them back home. They are welcome here for...well, forever. NO NEED TO THANK ME!!! I know you would do the same for me!!!
You take care and get well. We love ya just like you were a regular guy! God Bless Bobbe. Your friend Whippy Pooh.

Bobbe, I'm glad to see you posting so soon. It warms the cockles of my jaded old heart, even tho I don't know you personally. I think most of us are horrified by such an accident happening to one of our own. This is a real community here, and the next time an argument flares up on the Forum, I'll come back to this thread for a reminder of what the Forum is all about.

Bobby,
You have always been my go to guy for advice with guitars and equipment. Your knowledge resulted in us doing a lot of business together over the years. I remember that Universal Emmons I traded you towards my first Mullen UNI. I have never seen another Emmons UNI since. It sounded great but played like a bus instead of a sports car like the Mullen. Over the years that has grown to friendship. Although we've never met in person I feel that when it does happen it will be like we've known each other in this way all along. Thanks for being a straight shooter all these years for all of us. We will always value your contributions to our passion for the Steel Guitar. Get better quickly Buddy!

Bobbe's latest E-newsletter has just come through today. Typically he is more bothered about the fact that he had not paid tribute before now to Don Helms, than the fact that he had suffered this appalling injury.

He is a gem of a man.

Power tools & musicians are a dangerous combination.

Sounds like you've got a lengthy road to recovery.

Best of luck!!!

Very sorry to hear of your accident. I took my best friend to the hospital with his thumb in my pocket. They reattached the thumb and he had a complete recovery. The medical folks can do miracles with that type surgery. God can do the rest. Get well soon, looking forward to seeing you again soon. L.M.

We love you Bobbe.

I do especially.

A lot of good things have happened in the two years since my little run in with the "rototiller".

I hope God has been as kind to you.

I know the best part has been to find how many friends I have.

Many of them right here on The Forum.

Sounds like you have been blessed in your adversity as well.

:)
