Cal, I'm going to show how much of a weenie I am.
Red Sovine and Jimmy Dean are two singers that have actually made me cry like a big ole baby while driving down the Highway.
Jimmy with I.O.U for obvious reasons and Red with Giddy-up go because my Dad who died many years ago was a truck driver.

Dick, you should have heard "The Prettiest Dress" by Red. It was about his dead wife of many years lying in her coffin wearing a dress he'd bought for her. THE saddest song, actually a recitation, I've EVER heard.

Gee, you Teddy Bears changed since you had a hit with "To Know Him is to Love Him".

Yeah, Phil Spector was a little too "out there" for us, so we replaced him with Red and went on to fame & fortune with "Giddy Up Go".

One of my more memorable bands, didn't last long, cause Fred Newell quit to go back to the Nashville Now TV show back then!! But it sure was fun!! I was using a
BMI S-10 3&3 while my much more famous S-12 Universal was back at the factory cause it came apart, yeah, I got it right, it came apart!! They had that guitar for 9 months before sending it back, then there was a set screw in the case & it put a huge scratch on the top of the guitar right down as far as you could go in the mica, never liked that brand after that!!

...taken just after we'd left. Those of you with imagination can form a mental image of what the band looked like.
