Is there any way to get a list of pickers and and their playing time?

Is there any way to learn the admission prices?

I have to admit - I'm getting pretty excited (bouncing off the walls almost!) about it myself, then again I always do, especially getting to meet new folks and seeing all the rest of our "steel guitar family". It's just like a "big ole family reunion" plus all the good music that goes along with it, not to mention the surprises (good one's that is) that happens.
We'll see you all after while.

John Buffington

PS - A Special thanks to Larry King for building my set list, . . . . . now if I can just remember where I put it!!!!

John, sure wish you all the best for a very successful show. I have always enjoyed the times I have been there. One of the best shows around and a wonderful "family feeling".

Barbara and I pulled into the Radisson here in Tulsa about two hours ago (and it's only Wednesday) and let me tell you "this piano player" is pumped and ready. Can't wait to see our Oklahoma friends. The O.S.G.A. always puts on a great show and the hospitality is superb. I'm proud to be a small part of it.
Come on Friday !!!!!

Hey Cuz,

Glad that you and Barbara had a safe trip and we are pumped and ready as well. I just got off the phone with Mitzi and she said they were getting all set to be ready to leave early in the morning. So, Uncle Buck & Mitzi should be joining you around 6 or so tomorrow evening.

Everything is coming together and its going to be another barn burner this year!

I think that this is my fifth year to be in the staff band for this convention. I can say , with total confidence , that the interest level has piqued this year like no other time in my memory. People are excited , players are excited , and you might as well get in on the fun and fellowship. The headliners read like the who's who of the business.....we'll have some great vendors...you'll hear some of the finest vocalists ANYWHERE with the likes of John Terry , Dewayne Bowman , Rob Parker , and everybody's sweetheart , Miss Laney Hicks. If you miss this one , I'm going to tell R. D. Mercer and he'll give you a good ol country %#$ kickin'.

Larry is not one to "toot his own horn", however, it would be a great injustice to omit the fact, he too is an outstanding vocalist! The moral support he has offered me personally is beyond words and I'm glad he is also a part of our "A Team" staff band.
The Lord has blessed me with being a small part of the "Country Classics Band". It is an honor for me!

C ya after while in T-Town.

John, I agree with what you said about Larry King being an outstanding vocalist. I met him at the Tulsa show a few years ago and was very impressed with his vocals and bass playing, not to mention the fact that he is a wonderful gentleman as well. Tim Marlin and I will be there early in the morning; our flight leaves Houston at 6:55am.
