Don't know why, but I'm beginning to lose my desire for an Emmons.

Mr. Preston, for those of us that dont know all the steps 1 thru 10 , why dont you enlighten us, what all it takes then to build a body...
Mine ,I was told has been in the shop since the 25th letting the glue cure out, And when Tims thinks it's ready, they will complete it and ship,..

Hey, Fellow Pickers, first off, I will not go through the steps, Because there are trade secrets that need to be left as they are, but, if Rays' steel body is cracked, It would NEVER go out the door, a cracked body is a SHOT body. I am sure that if it did get cracked as they say, Ron Jr. would take a bite in the HA-HA-HA, and have another body built for Ray. And the time involved depends on whither it is a Mica body, or a Lacquered body. Mica about 3-4 days depending on how "custom" the buyer wants it. A Lacquered body takes somewhere between 5-7 days, and if it is a single body, or a double neck body. And BTW, Tim,(the body man) is the BEST IN THE LAND. I have watched him and he HAS THE TOUCH, Man, that Dud has been building Emmons bodies for YEARS, and to watch a "master" at work at his trade is something to behold. Hang in there, Ray, and give me a call, or E-mail me and let me know whats' happining. Image

OK, I thought I was patiently tracking this slow and sorry saga... but now I've gotta ask- Who in the world is Ray, and what does he he have to say about this debacle. Can he fix this mess?

Sorry, Pickers, In the "backdraft" of things a happinin' to my buddy, BILLY, I got a little confused Imageand called him RAY. Sorry there, BILLY. He will come out, IMO, VICTORIOUS in this 'sorry' situiation. I told him that if I had an extra Emmons, I would love to GIVE it to him. And for several of you people out there that REALLY know me,....You know I would. But, for the meantime, I have my 'seatbelt and harness' on, because I have paid my ticket (front row)to watch this 4 star show. The previews are almost over, and the main feature is about to begin. When I talked to Rebecca last..[01/29/02 ]
Tim was building me a new body,[the first one cracked, she said ]..
and as soon as he finished with it, he would send it up stairs to Ron to finish out and ship..I was told that the sub-structure was ready to set in the body..So I'm waiting on Rebecca to call me and give me a tracking number, The 18th of this month [Feb.] will be 21 days since Rebecca told me that Tim was building the new body, after the 18th, which I was told by a former employee,is more then enough time to build a body, and to finish the guitar and ship, I will take other actions.
God Bless

thats all at this time fellow's....

Good luck to you on it, Billy. I think a lot of people are watching with a lot of interest. Hope all goes well for you. Will say a prayer that you get your guitar finally and that it's a good one, worth the wait.
