And I'm going to be mighty proud to have Johnny Cox playing an Encore!

If by chance any of you who are reading this don't know of Johnny, he is truly a world class player who can play anything anytime anywhere any way you want it played on any guitar he sits behind. If you happen to be around Austin, find out where he is playing and go listen.

I've had mine for about 3 months now. I use it for the shows when there are multiple bands on a show and a fast set up/tear down is helpful. I also use it on smaller stages in combination with a Cube XL80 where space in a consideration. I love the decrease in weight and portability with this combination.
This guitar plays as well as any that I have and I used it for the first time in the studio yesterday and the results were outstanding. Doug was really great to work with with. I had him add a Franklin on pedal 4 and some splits. I recommend the removable half pad as well. The guitar stays faithfully in tune and sounds great. I highly recommend this guitar.. its an outstanding value.

Mine ships tomorrow. Can't wait to play it.
I'll be in Buffalo, Chicago and Green Bay in June. We will test the airlines.
Maybe Doug can put a picture up.

Johnny's guitar has the TrueTone pickup. It's a custom color scheme to match his drummer's kit.

Nice! It would be really slick if that piece of ply was hinged to the case so you could just flip it up to set up.

My Encore shipped Friday, went to Kansas City, Mo, then to Memphis, Tenn and is scheduled for delivery tomorrow, Tuesday. Black with 4+5 with "Encore" humbucker pickup. FedEx is hauling it over 800 miles (rough guess) to deliver it 175 miles. Sad

FedEx Ground does take some strange routing sometimes! Then again, most of the time when I ship one to be delivered here in the midwest it gets there the next day - two days at the most. Go figure.

Larry Baker, I can't say for sure if I will display anything at the Branson event. I may make a short visit and say hello to folks. I may have a new volume pedal to display by that time.

Hub and spoke system. Branson/Springfield/ that area are closer to KC than Memphis. Some busy terminals will go direct to two hubs (St. Louis sends direct to both Indy and KC).
The alternative would be to wait til a trailer bound for Memphis to get full (or would you rather wait for a Branson-Van Buren trailer to get to 80%?)
(Going to bed in a FXG truck bound for Jersey right now)

Thanks for your trucking insight Lane. All in all I get very good results from FedEx Ground and am quite satisfied with them.

Got mine this morning. Can't wait to play it tonight @ The Finish Line in Ft. Worth.

When I worked @ MSA we never shipped on Friday. Stuff lays around in the warehouse. It always was faster to wait till Monday morning.
Just sayin....
