Hi Erv,
I have received your GREAT tabs today!
I’m really so very much impressed!
Never seen anything like your tabs….so very neatly and clearly hand-written out…and with the melody line on top..and chords too!!! Besides I like your arrangements of which I’ve already tried out most of them.
WELL DONE Erv!
I’ll definitely be purchasing more tabs from you.

Kind Regards,

wilf :)

Wilf,
So pleased to hear that you like my tabs.
It really is encouraging!
I write my tabs the way I like to see tabs written.
They are about as close to a lesson as you can get.
My tabs are written in the "chordal" melody style with mostly full, 3 string grips. I figure that's what those pedals and knee levers are for.
Keep up the good work and keep steeling! :D

Erv,
I'd like to order some of the titles.

I live in the UK but I'm in the US for the next 10 days or so.

By what method do you take payment and let me know what postage costs I'll need to make.

Rgds,

David

David,
If you do PayPal, I accept that, check or money order.
If you send me your list of songs desired, I'll get them ready to go and let you know the total with postage.
You should have them before you leave the States.
Thanks,
Erv

My latest Country Classic dates back to 1939: "The Last Letter".
It was written and initially recorded by Rex Griffin.
Subsequently, it has been recorded by the likes of:

Waylon Jennings
Connie Smith
Tenness Ernie Ford
Marty Robbins
Don Gibson
Ray Price
Jack Greene
Willie Nelson
George Jones
Bob Wills
& Johnny Rodriguez

So you can see, it has endured quite well over the years.
It is a sad song, kind of in the same vein as "He Stopped Loving Her Today".

I dug out my "Hank Williams Complete" book and worked up a couple of lesser known Hank Williams songs.
They are: "My Sweet Love Ain't Around" and
"On The Banks Of The Old Pontchartrain".

The former has just been resurrected on a new CD by Gene Watson and Rhonda Vincent. Really good!
You can also hear it done on YouTube by Hank III from the Marty Stuart show.
I've also got a few more of Hank's songs in the works. Stay tuned! :D

Over the weekend, I tabbed out a song by Dallas Frazier: "Beneath Still Waters"

Over the years this song has been recorded by Emmylou Harris, The Osborne Brothers, George Jones and there is a recent version by Rhonda Vincent.

You can even hear David Hartley doing it on his pedal steel on YouTube.
