Terry, I really enjoyed it. I'm not a big Dobro fan but the article about Jerry Douglas was great. I also enjoyed Lloyd's article about his first songwriting experience. You can't get this kind of 'stuff' just anywhere!!!!
Thanks again, Kim
P.S. Will be sending in subscription soon!!!

Terry, Are you, perhaps, from the "Thumb" area of Michigan?

Terry, I met a nice family at a show I was playing in Cass City, Mi. while with the Boyer twins in the early 1980's. I remember the young boy asking me questions about my steel and telling me about his brother who was playing steel for Jimmy C. Newman. He seemed really proud of his big bro. Was that your kin?

WHAT A TRIP FRANK! There is a wonderful story about that little brother and the Boyer Twins in my book, "The Early Days". I was actually born in that town (Cass City, MI) and that was my little brother Tim. (Now he's a bit bigger than I am ) Joe Glaser (the bender guitar builder) who also wrote the Jerry Douglas CD Review in the Feb/Mar Issue was playing one of his first pedal steel gigs one night in Cass City (around that same time frame) with none-other than the Boyer Twins. (He also recanted the story of that evening in my book.) I had only previously moved to Nashville ('79) and was at that time (1980-81) working for the Cajun - Jimmy C. Newman... and Jeff Newman too. Thanks for remembering (and also reminding me of) that wonderful time in my life Frank

The home page of the pedalsteel.us web site links to this topic when you click "Update". So, what's the ETA of issue #3, Terry?

Ya know, I've been offline for about a week, and maybe I've missed something, and forgive me if I have, but is there any kind of adequate answer to b0b's question? I'm beginning to think not.......

I was under the impression at the start that issues would come out every other month, and some delays are to be expected, but my goodness, I should be getting a renewal notice instead of still waiting for my 3rd issue. It's been a year, and there's only been 2.
