I have to cancel on the show,

Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond my control, I will not be able to attend the show. I feel terrible about canceling out at the last minute, especially since I am supposed to perform but I have no choice.

I apologize for this. I know some of you are disappointed, as am I. I wish I could be there, but I just can’t. This will be the second year in a row that I’ve missed the show, and I’m really unhappy about it. I was looking forward to seeing all my friends again. This actually means more to me than the music.

I hope you have a great show, and I hope to be back next year.

Hi Mike,
I'm sorry to miss you at Phoenix this year, but I hope to see and hear you at some of the other shows. We have had a fairly mild winter here in Denver, but Phoenix is always good this time of year. The SWSGA always puts on a great show, and I'm glad to be a part of it.

Bummer Mike...I was hoping to add "Mike-ette" to my resume! Hope everything is ok?!?!

I should explain that the reason I can't come is that I just found out my roof is leaking. I don't know what it's going to cost to fix, but I need to use the money I had allocated for the trip, to pay for the repairs.

Mike sorry you can not make it - I knew when I got the email this AM that it must have been something you could not control.

Rick is your resume' that bad (just joking)

I think it is shaping up to be another good one.

We have a few young guys that want to get started too ---- that is always good.

By The Way... Is there free wireless at the motel ? and are they running a shuttle again this year?
thanks.

Yes and Yes - I was on the free WiFi while we were setting up. Several have checked on the shuttle and it is a yes too.

Hay Mike bring your rain coat we are have an unusial thing happening starting again tonight ------ some people call it rain. It is the wet stuff that falls out of the sky. Last year we had 3" total all year and we are expecting that much tonight and tomorrow.

60 something so that should be better than up north.

The show is shaping up good.

I got a prompt for a password from "GHG-WiFi" but the front desk says that is not Grace Inn, and there is no wireless internet in the rooms.
However, there is Ethernet to the internet and they will loan you an Ethernet cable if you didn't bring your own (that's how I'm doing it now.)

I also had my flight cancelled out of Calgary
Canada along with two other guys going to the
show. First a fog delay out of Calgary then
Phoenix airport shut down.
Very disappointing, especially because I was
booked to do a set with fellow steel player
Hank Rogers friday morning.
My regrets to Billy and the gang.

Well we just got home this morning about 3:30am. You are right Joe. This was a GREAT show. I was kind of worried with the bad weather and no cars in the back parking lot, but the crowd was there. I guess they all flew in or walked!!!!!!!!!!! Great MC job. I know you and all the workers are TIRED!!!!!!!!!! Austin left for Kansas this morning about 8:30. Should be home about noon. Thanks to all the workers for all the help and thanks for the invite.
