I started playing pedal steel 37 years ago. E9 was everywhere. I really regret not learning C6 at the same time. A few years ago I started seriously working on some C6. It's hard to get a band to think in C6. It seemes they like to stay safe in their Radio world. It's not only a tuning, but also an attitude. Altho I'm not very good, I really like trying. As far as C6 on the E9 neck, just check out the "Big Boys" and see how they do it. Eastwood said it best," A man's got to know his limitations." That's my two cents.
