I got mine LIGHT BLUE I must admit the shipping was fast 3 days New Hampshire to Pennsylvania is not a long trip.
There are no nicks or dings on this one it looks like it was dipped in paint.
Let’s see PAINT----CHINA lots of lead in it I bet.
Well at least no children will be playing with it.
STEEL GUITARS PLAYERS are classified as grown ups right.
The way these things are selling I should put it back in the box and sell it latter as an antique.
ANYWAY IT DOES MATCH MY EYES
It is a shame we are scattered all over the states we could all get to gather and jam

Looks good. Are the studs grooved so that you can raise/lower the bridge? I would need a bit of elevation to get over the Lipstick PU.

| I am leaving my Rondo SX like it is. I have some family members that might learn to play it. The SK is in a gig bag, as one of my 8 string Lap Steels fits the case. It is a tight fit but it works. |

Yes, but as Tom's diagram shows, that bridge is not straight, it's intonated to compensate for pull-down on the frets, which isn't done on a lap steel.
 
Your guitar will be slightly out-of-tune in the higher registers.  |

I've now had opportunity to practise with the palm levers. After a while you don't have to think about them and find yourself changing chords automatically, as you would on pedals. The only problem is that you have to make sure you don't relieve the pressure on the levers, or you go flat. The natural tendency is to concentrate on the finger picking and raise your palm. This you can't do.
Also, the spring on the fourth lever needs to have more pressure. When set up to lower the 5th string it sometimes fails to bring the string back up to pitch when you release the lever. I intend to fit a second spring, and that should solve the problem.

That was one of my concerns about this bridge but I checked it and the intonation sounds fine. Seems like I should have heard some sharp notes up high, especially on a short scale, but not so. Maybe I'm getting tone deaf but poosibly there's not enough of an offset to hear it.
