As far as I know, they still will be receiving more in the fall. I haven't corresponded with Rondo since my last posting on the subject in May of 2007.
You could ask them directly for more information. http://www.rondomusic.net

I bought one when they were initially reviewed on this forum. It was a great deal for 99 bucks. The electronics are weak, though. Sonically, the single coil pickup is something less than exceptional and hums a lot at high volumes.
I replaced the pickups in one of my Strats with 2 Dimarzio Area 58s and one Dimarzio Area 61. I put one of the stock Strat pickups in the Rondo. It is slightly larger than the Rondo stock pickup and has less output. It still hums some at high volume, though.
The Dimarzios sound great in the Strat, so I think I may put an Area 61 in the Rondo lap, as well.

Hi Roger,
I have a SX lap. I put in a different pickup and use E major string set off the forum (Jagwire).
The lap stays in tune and I like the weight of the body. The case is great. When I went to replace the pickup, the cavity was even dust free. The only downside of mine was that the pickup was not lined up with the strings, but I fixed that when I put in a rail pickup ($30) which is very quiet.

I will buy a stand for it when they become available.

Hey Roger
I have a Rondo SX lap steel posted on my website below, it really belongs to my sister who plays the steel among other things.
It plays and sounds descent and the price is right. Her strings line up with the pick up and she also purchased the tripod stand.Long story short, she is really pleased with her purchase.

Try a Lil '59
HI
I gig with mine even though I have better guitars, this one is my knock about every day guitar.
I have fitted it with a duncan L'il '59 humbucker in strat sizing and a push pull pot to split the coil from humbucker to single coil. It is really quiet in this configuration.
This guitar now sounds quite nice.
regards from downunder
