Lots of folks getting ready for Aug.3rd in Laurel, MS. MSP's first show should be a good one. Plenty of players/singers coming in. We start setting up equipment on 7-31, 8-1 & 8-2 for the show. We're going to turn Mr. Smooth, Bill Stafford loose for 1 1/2 hours from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. The players around the Laurel area that have never seen him play are in for a treat. Plenty of other surprises also. More later!

Buck Grantham

Post by Doc Rickles »

Hi Billy.
Just returned from the Branson Show, it was a great 2 days with great pickers and one ot the highlights was Buck Grantham, Wow is he smooth or what. Am so glad he will be one of our steelers Fri Aug 3. can't hardly wait. Missed Bill Stafford because we had to leave early in Ocean Springs. Not this time. It sounds like you really been busy getting it all ready. Gonna have Jim Parker wound up like an eight day clock for this one. This sounds like a great format with something for everyone. See you all Friday.

Have some good news. Ed Clark will be on stage with me. He is feeling much better. Just has to take it easy, but says he is looking forward to this big time in Laurel and wants to thank Billy and crew for the good times ahead. See you all tomorrow.
