Kayton Roberts had the longest tenure with Hank Snow. Who were Hank's steel guitarists before Kayton? I can only name two: Jimmy Crawford & Big Joe Talbot.

Jerry Byrd played some live performances with Hank Snow in the 60's and also recorded albums with him. Hank Snow is my all time favorite.

Joe Talbot left Hank at one time to enter college for a pre-law curriculum, at which time my brother, Vearl Ayres, took Joe's place. Shortly therafter (a couple of months, I think)Joe changed his mind and came back with Hank.

Buford Gentry, still living in Goodlettsville and still has the same guitar he used with Hank. Played a lot like Byrd.
A very nice player.

Also, Howard White. This is when I met Howard, after a show in Norfolk VA. at the War Memorial Auditorium. The year was 1955. Howard and Buford are still great friends today. (Whew)

Can anyone list Hank's steel players in chronological order?
