my only guess is Robby Turner, but I don't think that's him.

has Marty got a steelplayer in his band? Seems like he might never replace Gary Hogue, may he rest in peace... and that's fine by me.

That was Fred Newell. Known mostly for guitar but has become a pretty fine steel picker.

Scott, I saw Marty a few years ago. He was working with a lead guitar, bass and drums. No steel. The music was so loud it re-arranged my hair.
